I have been told that a late model XR80/100 carb will bolt right on.

From an original equipment/resto viewpoint I stopped by a local Honda resto shop today to look at the 20mm repro carb they offer for the XR75. Externally it looks almost identical to the TL125S carb which is superior to the K model carb. Point being I am going to go back next week with my original S carb and compare them internally and externally. I am confident they are the same with the possible exception of jetting which can be taken care of thru rebuild kits. If it is a match I will post their contact info.

P.S. the carbs currently offered on ebay are the 22mm carb for the SL/XL engines.

: One other point. I found the TL125 carb much closer to my 1979 XR80 carb, than my XL100 carb. The OD for the carb boot size was the same as the XR80 carb. I plan on using an XR80 airbox with some modifications.

: Someone might have bought a carb for an SL125 and slapped it on the TL125. If it runs fine. People think bigger carbs are better, but smaller than average carbs are usually found on low RPM motors like the TL.
